On Instagram I keep an archive of four hundred photographs. It isn't a collection of projects: it's what I look at.
The number is a constraint. Four hundred, not one more: for a new one to come in, an old one has to go.
The title is a nod to Truffaut. Four hundred isn't an archive - it's the capacity of a gaze.
