Lorenzo Noè was born in 1965 in Milan, where he graduated with honor from the Polytechnic. In 1993 he opened his own studio which deals with architecture and public spaces for public and private clients, and combines teaching with professional activity.

Fields of work

Landscape and public space design, active mobility and cycle networks, urban greening and street furniture, architecture and interiors at small and medium scale. The practice takes a commission from design through to site supervision and, on public works, to final certification. It also acts as independent inspector during construction and as technical adviser to public clients.

Design, teaching, writing

Lorenzo Noè has been in practice since 1993 and teaching since 2006, without interruption. Writing came later and comes in seasons: some twenty pieces for architecture and design magazines between 2019 and 2022.

Practice - since 1993. Graduated with honours from the Politecnico di Milano in 1992; registered with the Milan Order of Architects since 1993; qualified health and safety coordinator.

Teaching - since 2006. ISAD Istituto Superiore di Architettura e Design, Milan: lecturer since 2006, head of studies since 2023. University of Brescia: visiting professor and tutor (2014, 2015, 2018). Milano Fashion Institute: since 2024.

Writing - for architecture and design magazines, 2009, 2011, 2019-2022.

Lectures and conferences - since 2011, at the Orders of Architects of Milan, Como and Varese, the Politecnico di Milano, La Triennale, the Architecture Pavilion at Expo 2015 and the Kyiv Architecture Festival.

Institutional roles - since 2010. Fee Commission of the Milan Order of Architects (2010–2017); Landscape Commission of the Riva Romantica municipalities, Como (2021–2025); national working group on professional qualification and traineeships (2023–2024); Secretary of the Council of the Milan Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators (since 2025). Member of AIAPP, the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture, since 2024.
